The instrumental music on this CD was created from the fusion of acoustic (or natural) sounds with modern synthesis to create the imagery and atmosphere of mythical & magical times.   Legend tells of the children of the goddess Danann as the most engaging folk to make Ireland their home. So strong was their influence that after a thousand or more years of fusion with previous settlers, they were still known by their ancient tribal name, the Tútha dé Danann.

The Tútha dé Danann were mystics said to have acquired their magic on far away islands. Small in stature and dark-haired, they were held in awe by the invading Celts.

While the Celts imposed iron, their language and deities upon Ireland, they absorbed many cultural distinctions of the Tútha dé Danann which would later form the Celtic image observed by the Greeks and Romans at the beginning of the Christian era.
